Fiery Flying Serpents are creatures the Lord sent among people in the wilderness after they hardened their hearts. After they were bitten, he “prepared a way that they might be healed” (1 Nephi 17:41).
The labor required of the bitten people was that “they had to perform was to look” (1 Nephi 17:41). A fiery flying serpent would come forth as fruit “out of the serpent’s root” (2 Nephi 24:29).
