Law of Moses is a law given to the children of Israel, described as “a law of performances and of ordinances” to be observed “strictly from day to day.” It was given to keep them “in remembrance of God and their duty towards him” (Mosiah 13:27-29).
Jacob said, “we worship the Father in his name,” and “for this intent we keep the law of Moses, it pointing our souls to him.” He said the law was sanctified unto them for righteousness (Jacob 4:5).
Salvation “doth not come by the law alone,” and its ordinances were “types of things to come” (Mosiah 13:28-31). The law given unto Moses is fulfilled, and “the law which was given unto Moses hath an end in me” (3 Nephi 15:4-8).
