Wild goats are animals found among the beasts of the forests in the land of promise. As Nephi’s group journeyed in the wilderness, they found “the goat and the wild goat” and “all manner of wild animals, which were for the use of men” (1 Nephi 18:25).
The people of Nephi raised “flocks of all manner of cattle of every kind, and goats, and wild goats.” They also tilled the land and raised grain, fruit, and many horses (Enos 1:21).
