Jaredite Barge Provisions are the food prepared for the people, their flocks and herds, and the beasts, animals, and fowls carried in Jaredite barges. The people prepared “all manner of food” so that they might “subsist upon the water” (Ether 6:4).
After preparing food for themselves and for the animals they would carry, the Jaredites boarded their vessels or barges and set forth into the sea, “commending themselves unto the Lord their God” (Ether 6:4).
