Lehi and Sariah’s Sickbeds

Lehi and Sariah’s sickbeds are the beds upon which Nephi’s parents were brought down during the voyage in the ship. Nephi says that his parents were “stricken in years” and had “suffered much grief because of their children” (1 Nephi 18:17).

Lehi had spoken many things to his sons and to the sons of Ishmael, who threatened anyone who would speak for Nephi. Nephi states that his parents “were brought down, yea, even upon their sick-beds” (1 Nephi 18:17).
