Mountains are elevated landforms. Nephi saw “mountains tumbling into pieces” amid earthquakes, while “the plains of the earth” were broken up (1 Nephi 12:4).
Nephi said that the Spirit carried his body “upon exceedingly high mountains,” where his eyes beheld things he was bidden not to write (2 Nephi 4:25). Jacob said that faith can become unshaken “insomuch that we truly can command in the name of Jesus” and mountains obey (Jacob 4:6).
