Craftsmanship is the making of worked materials, tools, buildings, and other objects. Lehi found “upon the ground a round ball of curious workmanship; and it was of fine brass,” and within it were two spindles, one of which pointed the way into the wilderness (1 Nephi 16:10). Nephi and his companions “did work timbers of curious workmanship,” and the Lord showed Nephi how he should work the ship’s timbers (1 Nephi 18:1). Nephi said, “I did build it after the manner which the Lord had shown unto me” (1 Nephi 18:2).
King Noah caused workmen to make “all manner of fine work within the walls of the temple, of fine wood, and of copper, and of brass” (Mosiah 11:8-10). Jarom’s people made “all manner of tools of every kind to till the ground, and weapons of war” (Jarom 1:8). Ether’s people “did work all manner of work of exceedingly curious workmanship” (Ether 10:23-27).
