Fruits are produce associated with seeds, trees, vines, and cultivated ground. “Seeds of fruit of every kind” were gathered with seeds of grain (1 Nephi 8:1). A land by the seashore was called Bountiful “because of its much fruit” (1 Nephi 17:6).
Those who went down into a ship prepared “much fruits and meat from the wilderness, and honey in abundance” (1 Nephi 18:6). The people of Nephi tilled the land and raised “all manner of grain, and of fruit” (Enos 1:21). Men were caused to till the ground and raise “all manner of fruit of every kind” (Mosiah 10:4).
A prayer asked that rain be sent upon the earth so that she might “bring forth her fruit, and her grain in the season of grain” (Helaman 11:13). Rain later fell upon the earth, which brought forth fruit “in the season of her fruit” (Helaman 11:17).
